BANGOR – Dick and Kay Daley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8, 2010, with a private dinner with their children and their spouses, and grandchildren in attendance. The couple were married on Oct. 8, 1950, in Allston, Mass., with Mr. John McCarthy as best man and Patricia Driscoll as maid of honor. Dick spent 24 years’ active duty with the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1974. He then spent 20 years in the Federal Civil Service before retiring to Bangor in 1994. Kay moved around the world with Dick, raising a loving family before settling in Bangor. She then worked for the Air Force Exchange Service for 19 years before retiring. The couple have three children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
