BELFAST, Maine — A city woman was arrested and jailed over the weekend after the report of a late-night fight caused police to charge her with domestic violence assault, among other counts.
Mandy Mosher, 22, reportedly had been having a few drinks with her boyfriend when an argument broke out at her Field Street apartment at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a report from Detective Bryan Cunningham of the Belfast Police Department.
The argument escalated and, apparently, Mosher punched her boyfriend and another woman who was there. She also broke objects including a mirror, Cunningham said Tuesday.
Injuries were minor enough that no one had to go to the hospital, but the woman who allegedly had been assaulted called police. Mosher was uncooperative with Officer Walter Corey, Cunningham said.
She was charged with domestic violence assault, assault and criminal mischief and taken to Waldo County Jail, Cunningham said, adding that she has been released on bail.
