Who should be Maine’s next governor?

Polls show Republican Paul LePage in the lead, with Democrat Libby Mitchell and Eliot Cutler neck-and-neck in second place. What argument can you make for electing your candidate?

If you believe state government needs to be downsized, is LePage your only choice? Will Cutler also find efficiencies? What about independents Shawn Moody and Kevin Scott? Will you vote for Libby Mitchell because she will protect the poor, children,

the elderly and the disabled, even though it is unpopular to spend money on those groups?

And what is your view about the horse race nature of voting? Is it a wasted vote to support a candidate trailing in the polls? Or can you hold your head high, knowing you voted your principles? Lastly, who do you predict will win?
