Can the state buy too much land?

The Land for Maine’s Future bonds have won passage by wide margins in past years. Is this program worth continuing, especially given the recession’s dampening effect on the real estate market and development? Or is it always a sound move to buy and protect more land for public access, because it enhances Maine’s valuable “quality of place”?

What about the dental school bond? Why vote for this?
