HOLDEN – Craig Ernest Thompson, 55, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in Middlebury, Vt., with his parents, brothers and sisters by his side. Craig was born Dec. 4, 1954, at Millinocket Regional Hospital and grew up in Medway, son of Byron E. and Melissa L. (Van Dine) Thompson. Craig graduated Schenck High School, Class of 1973. His professional career began at East Millinocket Paper Mill moving on to Day & Curry, Seaward Construction, Par Electric, and then Three Phase Line Construction until May of this year where he worked as a general foremen. Craig was an avid New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and NACAR fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, and attending his daughter’s sporting and musical events. Craig is survived by his parents, Byron and Mellissa Thompson of Upsala, Ontario; his daughter, Missy R. Thompson of Brewer; sister, Cynthia Sweeney and her husband, Michael, of Bourne, Mass.; brother, Darrell Thompson and his wife, Jeanne, of Bradford; sister, Gaye Beebe and her husband, Paul, of Upsala, Ontario; sister, Julie Delaplain and her husband, Frank, of Juneau, Alaska; sister, Beth Dix of McAlester, Okla.; brother, Malcolm Thompson and his wife, Julie, of Shoreham, Vt.; brother, Calvin Thompson and his wife, Rhonda, of Medway; and brother, Ben Thompson and his wife, Rebecca, of Loudon, N.H. Craig was the proud uncle of dozens of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by countless cousins. Family and friends may celebrate Craig’s life 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, Orchard Street, East Millinocket, where a memorial service celebrating his life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
