STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Dominique Adamo scored her second goal of the game at the 43-minute mark Thursday night, giving Stony Brook the eventual game-winner in a 2-1 America East women’s soccer victory over the University of Maine.

Adamo had given the Seawolves (5-9-2, 4-2-1 AE) a 1-0 lead five minutes into the contest, scoring off a Sa’sha Kershaw assist. The Black Bears equalized in the 18th minute when Kelsey Wilson scored on a penalty kick for her career-best seventh goal of the season.

Meagan Price-Leibenzeder made four saves on 14 shots for UMaine (7-7, 3-4 AE), allowing more than one goal for the first time since Sept. 5. The Bears cling to sixth place in trying to qualify for next week’s six-team America East Championship tournament.

Chelsea Morales made two clutch saves and faced seven shots for Stony Brook, which clinched a tourney spot.
