Breton goal lifts Maine by Hartford

ORONO — Hannah Breton’s first-half goal lifted the Maine Black Bears to a 1-0 women’s soccer victory over the Hartford Hawks Sunday.

Breton controlled a rebounded shot off the goalie and drained the ball into an empty net as the Bears went on to improve to 7-6 overall and 3-3 in America East.

Meagan Price-Leibenzeder made four saves on 10 shots for the Bears and Lauren Brodeur made five saves on 17 shots for 6-7-2 Harford (2-2-2 in AE).
