Friday’s heavy rains reduced the evening’s Eastern Maine high school football schedule to a trickle.

Most contests scheduled regionally were postponed and due to be made up Saturday evening, leaving Dexter at Stearns of Millinocket, Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield at Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln and John Bapst hosting Orono at the University of Maine as the only contests to be played Friday as originally scheduled.

Among the games that were postponed, the Class A showdown between unbeatens Bangor and Lawrence at Keyes Field in Fairfield was pushed back to 7 p.m. Saturday, as were the following contests: Mt. Blue of Farmington at Brewer, Skowhegan at Messalonskee of Oakland, Belfast at Morse of Bath, Mount View of Thorndike at Bucksport, Winslow at Leavitt of Turner Center, and Lewiston at Cony of Augusta.

Yarmouth at Madison-Carrabec, also postponed from Friday, will be played at 6 p.m. Saturday in Madison.

One game originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Mount Desert Island at Camden Hills of Rockport, has been rescheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday at Palmer Field.
