As sure as the leaves fall from the trees in the fall, Ernie Clark finds himself in the lead of the BDN Football Forecast.

Clark went 15-5 last week to vault over Pete Warner, who struggled to a 12-8 mark, and grab a three-game lead. Andrew Neff (13-7) and Joe McLaughlin (15-5) are tied with Warner for second place.

Ryan McLaughlin led all starters with a 17-3 effort.

Guest Bob Adams of Brewer turned in an 11-9 card.

This week’s guest is Stu Marckoon of Lamoine.

Marckoon graduated from Rockland High School in 1977 and Husson College in 1981 and is the administrative assistant for the Lamoine board of selectmen. In addition, he’s the morning news anchor for WNSX radio, 97.7 FM, in Ellsworth, and serves as a certified baseball umpire and basketball official.

Marckoon and his wife, Bonnie, have two daughters, Sarah and Becca.
