BANGOR, Maine — Two members of the rock band Godsmack will be on hand to meet the public at a free session from 4-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Mark’s Music at 203 Penobscot Square in Brewer.
Lead singer and founder Sully Erna will appear along with drummer Shannon Larkin to meet fans and sign autographs a couple of hours before the band is scheduled to take the stage for the final show — dubbed “Smackfest 2010” — of the inaugural Hollywood Slots Waterfront Concert Series in Bangor.
The day’s events at the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion will start with the first of 25 scheduled bands taking the stage at 11 a.m. with gates opening at 10 a.m. The main acts are scheduled to perform at 5:30 p.m. with Drowning Pool and Five Finger Death Punch opening for Godsmack, which should start its performance as early as 7:30 p.m.
So far, more than 10,000 tickets have been sold for the Sunday show with all tickets being general admission and no assigned seating. This show promises to be the highest-attended of the seven in the series. Tickets are $45.50 each before fees, and are available online at www.waterfrontconcerts.com or www.thecolisee.com, by phone at 783-2009, or locally at Mark’s Music store at 203 Penobscot Square in Brewer.
