Big School (Classes A-B)

JOHN KELLEY

A defensive end on the Bangor football team, Kelley was one of many Rams who starred on defense in their 39-7 win over Mt. Blue of Farmington on Saturday. He recorded two interceptions, two of five turnovers Bangor forced.

Small School (Classes C-D)

RYAN CAVANAUGH

The Calais-Woodland tailback rushed for more than  200 yards as the Silverados cruised past Mount View on Saturday. Cavanaugh gained 213 yards on 26 carries while scoring four touchdowns to power Calais to its fourth win.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

DACIE MANION

A senior on the Old Town girls cross country team, Manion ran to a fifth-place finish at the Maine Cross Country Festival of Champions in Belfast over the weekend. The reigning Eastern Maine Class B regional champion posted a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 19.91 seconds over 5,000 meters.

Small School (Classes C-D)

GRETEL BRETON

A senior for the Greenville girls soccer team, Breton scored four goals in two games for the 7-1 Lakers. She recorded a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Calvary Chapel of Orrington on Tuesday while contributing a first-half tally in a 2-1 triumph over Rangeley on Saturday.
