No one injured in Wilson Street rollover

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff

BREWER, Maine — Driver inattention was cited as the cause of a three-vehicle accident Tuesday evening on Wilson Street.

Though few details were available Tuesday night, Brewer police Lt. Chris Martin said the accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. when Jerry Doyle, 41, of Holden, who was traveling into Brewer, did not see that traffic was stopped at the light near Down East Toyota.

In an attempt to avoid a collision with the vehicle ahead of him, Doyle made a hard turn, causing his vehicle to roll over, striking and damaging two other vehicles driven by Katrina Deshaney, 27, of Bangor and Hartley Webb, 44, of Dedham.

Martin said no one was injured in the accident, which caused a temporary bottleneck on Wilson Street.

Information about the vehicles involved was not immediately available. The accident remains under investigation.
