Three Bangor teens walking on North Main Street in Brewer were stopped late Monday after Brewer police Officer Amy Nickerson recognized one of them as a possible suspect in a break-in reported the day before, Capt. Jason Moffitt said on Tuesday.

However, when Officer Edward Willey approached the group, one of three disappeared and the “other two claimed not to know where the third guy was,” he said.

Willey found Devin Tracy, 18, hiding near a building. Tracy, who had an active warrant for his arrest and who is on probation and barred from drinking alcohol or doing drugs, “appeared to be under the influence,” Moffitt said.

His probation officer requested a probation hold and Tracy was arrested on the warrant, Moffitt said.

A 16-year-old was taken home to his parents in Bangor, and a 17-year-old was told to go home and he agreed to do just that, the police captain said. The report did not indicate which of the three teens was the suspect in the Sunday night break-in, Moffitt said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

“The driver admitted to having drug paraphernalia in the vehicle,” he said.

A 16-year-old Alton boy was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, and failure to provide evidence of insurance. He was not arrested, but his parents were notified, Moffitt said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
