Free mammograms offered at MCMH

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is offering free mammograms 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, to help mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mainers who have no insurance, do not qualify for the Breast and Cervical Health Program or have a high deductible may call 664-5492 for an appointment. Mammograms will be provided first call, first served.

Also, The Bud Connection and Stanley Subaru are joining the hospital in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Supporters are asked to bring in flower vases to be recycled by The Bud Connection and the local florist will make a donation for each vase to the MCMH Breast Clinic. Stanley Subaru will make a $10 donation to the Breast Clinic for every test drive during the month. Stanley Scooters will donate $1,000 in the buyer’s name for every pink Vespa scooter purchased during October.
