Weather postpones high school games

Friday's rainstorm has forced the postponement of many high school athletic events.

In football, the following games have been moved from Friday to Saturday: Brewer at Messalonksee (1 p.m.), Mt. Blue at Bangor (1 p.m.), Skowhegan at Lawrence (7 p.m.), Winslow at MDI (1:30 p.m.), Old Town at Orono (7 p.m.), Hampden at Morse (4 p.m.), Stearns at MCI (1 p.m.), Camden Hills at Gardiner (4 p.m.), Bucksport at Mattanawcook Academy (6:30 p.m.), Cony at Brunswick (6 p.m.) and Jay at Madison (6 p.m.).

In soccer, the Bangor boys will be at Mt. Blue in Farmington at 1 p.m. Saturday while the Bangor girls soccer team will host Mt. Blue at 4 p.m. Brewer's girls soccer game against Waterville has also been postponed, but a makeup date has not been set.

In other postponements from Friday, the Nokomis boys soccer team will play Medomak Valley in Waldoboro on Monday at 3:30 p.m. while the Nokomis girls soccer team will host Medomak on Monday at 3:30 p.m.

In golf, Brewer's KVAC Class A Championship match against Brunswick has been postponed to Monday at 3 p.m. at Rockland Golf Club.
