MILFORD – Galen J. Dalrymple, 48, was called home Sept. 28, 2010, as the result of a longterm illness. He was born Oct. 13, 1961, in Bangor, the son of David F. Dalrymple and Helen (Smith) Dalrymple. Galen was self-employed and worked lumbering for the pulp and paper industry. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and camping, and loved being in the woods. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Sherry (McLaughlin) Dalrymple; five children, Mary, Barbie, Jeff, Shane and Becca; nine grandchildren; brother, David Dalrymple; aunts and uncle, Geneine (Dalrymple) Bouchard – his surrogate mother, Nancy (Dalrymple) Whitney, Lynn (Dalrymple) and her husband, Linwood Holmes, and Helen (Dalrymple) Shirland; many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be after at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. <>
