OLD TOWN, Maine — A Massachusetts man was injured Wednesday in a two-car collision on Stillwater Avenue.

Michael Dibiasio-White, 22, was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of a cut to his head, Old Town patrol Officer Jim Fearon said Thursday. Fearon said that Dibiasio-White told him that he received six stitches and then was released from the hospital.

The accident happened about 4 p.m. as Dibiasio-White was making a turn into the driveway of Sullivan’s Automotive Service, located at 665 Stillwater Ave., Fearon said.

Dibiasio-White, who had been traveling north, failed to yield to an oncoming car driven by Albert Smaha, 86, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the two cars collided, Fearon said. Smaha was not injured, he said.

Fearon estimated damage to Dibiasio-White’s 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier at $2,000. He said Smaha’s 2003 Cadillac had about $2,500 in damage. Both motorists were wearing seat belts.

No charges were filed in connection with the crash.
