BATH, Maine — Police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly destroying computers, smashing plate glass windows and writing graffiti on walls at a local elementary school.

The RSU 1 superintendent said classes were canceled Tuesday at Fisher Mitchell Elementary School after a food service worker discovered that someone had trashed the school.

Police Chief Michael Field said the Phippsburg teenager was arrested later Tuesday, but that his name is not being released. He has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief and burglary.
