SNAP gets $11M deal for Army uniforms

PRINCETON, Maine — The U.S. Army has awarded an $11 million contract to Source for Native American Products LLC, also known as SNAP, according to Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine.

The $11,069,970 contract is for 58,263 flame-resistant Army combat uniforms.

β€œThis contract award is welcome news for the skilled workers at SNAP and will help support good jobs in Washington County,” Collins said. β€œI applaud their work to supply our troops with the very best equipment.”

SNAP was created in 2003 in partnership with the Passamaquoddy Indian Tribe and J&P Apparel. It is the contracting arm for Creative Apparel Associates.
