RACHELLE RENAE PARKER

JONESPORT – Rachelle Renae Parker, who lived life to the fullest, went to be with the Lord Sept. 14, 2010. Rachelle was born Nov. 1, 1986, in Blue Hill. She was educated at Beals Elementary School, Surry Elementary School and Ellsworth Middle School. She attended Bucksport High School and completed her education at Jonesport-Beals High School, where she was a member of National Honor Society. Rachelle was most recently attending Husson University, where she would have graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in May 2011. Rachelle consistently made the dean’s list. Rachelle was a member of Beals Wesleyan Church. Rachelle married her soul mate, Carlos A. Tapia, June 19, 2010, completing her perfect family and began the life she had searched for. Rachelle was employed at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, where she had begun her clinical partnership for her degree. She worked in local nursing homes in the Jonesport, Milbridge, Machias and Harrington areas. She also worked at Down East Community Hospital as a certified nurse’s aide while furthering her education. Rachelle loved to travel and enjoyed many special vacations to her parent’s home in Florida, tanning on Atlantic Beach. Rachelle recently ventured to New York City and the Rocky Mountains all alone to get the “experience of a lifetime,” while she visited these areas. The love of her life was her daughter, Mackenzie Renae Gray. Rachelle was beautiful, had a contagious smile and was very hardworking, compassionate and courageous. She was the epitome of what a nurse’s “bedside manner” should be. Rachelle was the full package. Rachelle battled multiple sclerosis. Very few people knew the extent of her disease. She never gave up, didn’t complain and never used multiple sclerosis as a crutch. Rachelle was predeceased by grandfather, Franklin Libby; aunt, Peggy Libby Deniger; great-grandparents, Alfreda and Ernest Libby; great-aunt, Senith Libby Tarr; and her paternal grandparents, Ronald and Donna Parker. She is survived by her mother and father, Richard and Ida Parker; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Libby; sister, Cassandra Osgood and husband, Justin; brother, Ryan Libby and his wife, Laureen Libby; nieces, Kylie Elizabeth Chase, Sydney Rose Libby and Taylor Raye Libby; aunt, Anita Libby and her partner, Renay Williams; and cousins, Aniyah Libby Williams, Jason Carter, Kyle Carter and James Smith. Rachelle was also a godmother to Aniyah Libby Williams. She is also survived be her very special friend, “my Maine mother,” Juanita Gray; and many, many other special friends, including Corrie Hunkler, Whitney Beal and Sarah Robinson. She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and community. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at Beals Wesleyan Church. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Beals Elementary School. Interment will be at Great Wass Cemetery, Beals.
