BANGOR, Maine — A woman who went missing for two days was discovered Saturday afternoon in a car under the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge, according to the Bangor Police Department.
The death of Jestina Cain, 33, of Bangor, does not appear suspicious, but is being investigated by the Bangor Police detectives and the State Medical Examiner’s Office, according to a news release.
Cain was last seen at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sgt. Chip Hodges said Friday, and was believed to be driving a black 2008 Ford Escape vehicle that did not belong to her.
According to Maine’s online sex offender registry, Cain was convicted in 2009 of two counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
