Bowdoin men shut out Husson

Men’s soccer

Bowdoin 4, Husson 0

At Hampden, Eddie Jones recorded a hat trick scoring three goals to lead Bowdoin College of Brunswick past Husson University of Bangor.

Michael Gale added a goal and two assists for 1-0-1 Bowdoin. Dan Hicks made one save.

Mason Smith came up with nine shots for 1-3 Husson.

Bates 2, UMF 1

At Lewiston, Tyler Grees and Patrick Johnson scored first-half goals to lead Bates past UMaine-Farmington.

Greg Watts saved four of 13 shots for the 1-1 Bobcats.

Jordan Hale scored for 0-2-1 UM-Farmington while Derek Reilly and Tennessee Peters saved five of 24 shots.

U-New England 6, Mount Ida 1

At Biddeford, Kevin Tarr of Hermon scored the first goal for the University of New England and the scoring bar-rage was on as the Nor’easters battered Mount Ida.

For the 2-2-1 Nor’easters, Matt Christie, Kyle McGlone, Cody Lapointe, Jason Lariviere, and Shirwac Hussain Ali each scored goals. Jon Planer made three saves on seven shots.

Steve MacDonald scored for the 0-5 Mustangs. Steven Enright saved eight of 31 shots.
