CONCORD, N.H. — A 22-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to charges he shot and killed a New Hampshire nursing student last spring in Henniker.

The New Hampshire Union Leader says Haitian immigrant Roody Fleuraguste entered the plea Monday to first degree murder and other charges stemming from the April 29 shooting death of 31-year-old Molly Hawthorn-MacDougall.

Fleuraguste had moved next door to the victim, six days before the shooting. There’s no word on a motive for the shooting.

Fleuraguste was ordered held without bail by Merrimack County Superior Court Judge Larry M. Smukler.
