GRAY, Maine — An ATV rider had his right leg impaled on a tree branch while riding in Maine.

Forty-seven-year-old Bruce Brown of Falmouth was riding on a trail in Gray when the accident happened Monday.

WMTW reports that Brown was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with what authorities said was not a life-threatening injury.

Brown was riding with three other people at the time of the incident, which was reported at 11:19 a.m. Monday and occurred near the Gray-Raymond line. Warden Mike Pierre of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said both Gray and Raymond fire and rescue units responded.
