Piscataquis county signs winter road maintenance contracts

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The Piscataquis County commissioners signed two contracts and accepted a bid Tuesday for winter road maintenance.

William London and Sons of Brownville will provide winter maintenance in Orneville Township for $116,938 a year for three years.

A contract also was signed by the commissioners with Robert Waite of Sebec for winter maintenance in Williamsburg Township. Waite will provide the work for $41,300 the first year, $43,365 the second year and $45,533 the third year.

A lone bid submitted for winter maintenance in Katahdin Iron Works Township was accepted Tuesday from London at a cost of $37,526 a year for three years.
