At Hampden, Graham Safford recorded a hat trick in leading Hampden Academy to a shutout victory over Skowhegan.

Ben Clark had a goal and an assist for the 1-0 Broncos. Cameron Libbey also scored. John Meehan provided two assists while Cooper Antone and Dana Albert each had an assist. Logan Poirier stopped all four shots.

Chase Palmer turned away six of 24 shots for 0-1 Skowhegan.

John Bapst 3, Bucksport 2

At Bucksport, Sierra Pierce scored an unassisted goal with 41 seconds remaining, lifting the Crusaders to a season-opening victory.

Victoria Miller had scored with 20 minutes left to make it 2-2 after putting John Bapst of Bangor on the scoreboard with a goal assisted by Miller. Abby Pyne made 10 saves on 12 shots.

Sadie Wight gave Bucksport (0-1) a 1-0 lead early in the second half, while Kacie Hurd had converted a Mindy Pye assist to make it 2-1 with 28:07 to play. Bailey Blair made 13 saves on 18 shots.

     Hampden 9, Skowhegan 0

At Skowhegan, Michaela Stephenson scored four goals and provided one assist as Hampden Academy topped Skowhegan.

Kaylee LeCavalier had two goals and an assist for the 1-0 Broncos. Chelsea Kuzio had a goal and an assist while Erin Jeter and Alex Winchester also scored. Anna Michaud provided three assists while Samantha Matthews, Clarissa El-Hajj and Nicole Ireland each had an assist. Julia Snyder and Kayla Clewley combined for one save on one shot.

Andrew Quirion turned away 27 of 36 shots for 0-1 Skowhegan.

Central 3, Piscataquis 0

At Corinth, Kayla Grindle scored two goals as Central topped Piscataquis of Guilford.

Logan Wilson added a goal for the 1-1 Red Devils. Alix Rudzinski saved all 17 shots.

Breanna Tweedie stopped 13 of 16 shots for the 0-2 Pirates.

    Belfast 1, Waterville 0

At Belfast, Kari Osgood made a pass to Brooklyn Curry who stopped the ball to set up a Helene Wallace goal with 16:40 remaining in the first half to lead Belfast past Waterville.

The win was the 399th in program history for the Lions. Allen Holmes has been the coach for all 38 seasons, which includes six state championships and 11 Eastern Maine titles.

Paxton Mohney saved both shots for 1-0 Belfast.

Sadie Dixon turned away seven of eight shots for 0-2 Waterville.

    Mount View 2, Winslow 1 (OT)

At Thorndike, Anna Piotti scored off a Brianna Moddy assist with 2:18 remaining in overtime to lift Mount View over Winslow Saturday.

Hayleigh Kein tied it at 1-1 with 7:33 left in regulation for 1-0 Mount View.

Michelle Greene scored with 28:21 remaining in the first half for 0-1 Winslow.

    Stearns 1, Piscataquis 0

At Guilford, Mallory Osborne scored an unassisted goal with 25:15 left in the first half as Stearns of Millinocket defeated Piscataquis Saturday.

Kirsten Marter saved the only shot she faced for 1-1 Stearns.

Brianna Tweedie had 11 saves off 12 shots for 0-1 Piscataquis.
