The Family Of SHAWN W. BURRILL Say thanks for all the support in celebrating the life lived by a son, brother, father, nephew, cousin and friend, Shawn W. Burrill, who passed away Aug. 17, 2010. At this time in our sorrow we realize that friends are just as important as family when you are grieving. A special thanks to Tammy McLellan for making Shawn’s last wishes come true, Trooper Kim Sawyer for all her compassion and understanding throughout the past weeks, and to all who needed to buy new tires. The night of the accident, I, Shawn’s mother, requested my son and nephew to approach the scene to ask the game warden and border patrol officers that were there to ensure that Shawn would be an organ donor, as my sister-in-law is in need of a kidney transplant, and his other organs could’ve saved lives. The game warden and border patrol officer assured us that they would inform the proper authorities of our decision. Miscommunication happened and this information seemingly didn’t get passed on, and the loss of Shawn’s life didn’t have the chance to prolong another. Our sympathies to the families of the people that could have been given a second chance in life. Thanks, the Burrills
