Washburn, Fort Fairfield battle to stalemate

   WASHBURN — Washburn’s Jordan McLaughlin scored two goals, including the game-tying goal with 10:50 left in the game, as the Beavers and Fort Fairfield Tigers battled to a 3-3 tie through two overtimes in schoolboy soccer action Thursday.
   Mitchell Worcester scored a goal and grabbed two assists for the 5-2-1 Beavers. Zach Davis blocked 15 of 18 shots.
   Travis Noyes netted two goals to pace Fort Fairfield. Andrew Tuck added a goal while Jay Williams and Derek Dufour each had an assist. Chris Weeks stopped 10 of 13 shots.
  
   Presque Isle 6, Caribou 0
   At Presque Isle, Josh Allen scored twice in the first half as the Wildcats built a 4-0 lead en route to their first win of the season.
   Isaac LaJoie, Wilder York, Cole Richards and Jonah Stephenson each added a goal for Presque Isle, which outshot Caribou 26-6.
   Jacob Player contributed two assists for the 1-0-1 Wildcats, while Allen and Caleb Mathers had one assist each.
   Andrew Kofstad preserved the shutout with four saves, while Garrett Jordan made 18 saves for 1-1-1 Caribou.

   Wisdom 9, LCS/MSSM 1
   At Limestone, Curtis Picard and Rocky Chamberland netted three goals apiece as Wisdom rolled past the Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.
   Kyle Daigle, Ryan Blanchette and Chris Ouellette each added a goal for the 5-2 Pioneers. Rocky Chamberland tallied three assists while Kody Chamberland had two. Nathan Oakes stopped four of 12 shots.
   Tristian Kirk netted an unassisted goal for the 0-4 Eagles. Chris Bernier and Sean Gagnon combined to make 18 saves on 36 shots.
  
   Fort Kent 4, Van Buren 0

   At Van Buren, Abraham Desjardins scored a goal and tallied two assists as Fort Kent shut out Van Buren.
   Thomas Levesque, Jared Soucy and Cody Lozier each posted a goal for the Warriors. Alex Charrette blocked all four shots he faced.
   Marc Lajoie made eight saves on 15 shots for Van Buren.
  
   Madawaska 3, CAHS 2
   At Madawaska, Matt Deschenes scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with seven minutes remaining in the first half as Madawaska topped Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.
   Ian Lee and Jon Lee each netted a goal in the first half for the 4-2 Owls. Corey Nadeau picked up an assist. Tim Deschenes and Kyle Blanchette combined to make five saves on 10 shots.
   Kyle Murray and Daniel Brewer each scored a goal in the second half for the 4-4 Panthers. Tyler Rusby grabbed an asssist. Ross Grass stopped 17 of 23 shots.

   Girls soccer
   LCS/MSSM 6, Wisdom 0

   At Limestone, Stephanie Leighton and Daniele Pelkey scored two goals apiece as Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics shut out Wisdom of St. Agatha.
   Mariah Williams and Chelsea Leighton each added a goal for the Eagles. Amanda Allen and Alexis Bell each grabbed an assist. Ashlynn Kelly stopped six of 11 shots.
   Hayley Cyr made 11 saves on 26 shots for the Pioneers.
  
   Madawaska 7, CAHS 2
   At Madawaska, Nicole Cyr collected three goals to power Madawaska by Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.
   Samantha Nadeau netted two goals for the 4-2 Owls. Megan Ouellette and Erin Dugal each added a goal while Valerie Parker tallied two assists. Amanda Nadeau blocked six of eight shots.
   Kristen Long and Marissa Anthony each scored a goal for the 2-4-1 Panthers. Paige Garrison made 11 saves on 21 shots.
  
   Washburn 2, Fort Fairfield 1
   At Washburn, Meghan Saucier netted the go-ahead goal with 13 minutes left in the game to lift Washburn by Fort Fairfield.
   Rebecca Campbell scored for the 6-1-1 Beavers with 26:50 left in the first half off a pass from Carmen Bragg. Rayah Saucier made 13 saves on 19 shots.
   Logan Bubar scored an unassisted goal for 3-4 Fort Fairfield with 21 minutes left in the game. Katy Donovan stopped 16 of 21 shots.
  
   Fort Kent 3, Van Buren 1
   At Van Buren, Mary Grace Morris, Katelyn Roy and Roxy Pelletier each scored a goal as Fort Kent topped Van Buren.
   Michela Desjardins picked up an assist for the 3-0-1 Warriors. Carissa Pelletier blocked six of seven shots.
   Haley Lizotte scored an unassisted goal in the first half for the 4-2 Crusaders. Ashlie Wilson made 22 saves on 25 shots.
