BREWER, Maine — A downed power line at the corner of Washington Street and State Street in Brewer has left about 1,500 Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. customers without power, including many on the Wilson Street business corridor.

Bangor Hydro spokeswoman Susan Faloon said crews were on the way shortly after 11:30 a.m. to repair the line. She did not know what caused utility line to come down.
