Grand jury indicts Brewer man on drug, knife charges

BANGOR, Maine — A Brewer man arrested last month after a traffic stop on Odlin Road has been indicted on drug and knife charges by the Penobscot County grand jury.

Marvin Lovely, 48, was indicted Wednesday for aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and trafficking in dangerous knives.

He was arrested July 17 after police officers found plastic bags containing oxycodone and Suboxone as well as a usable amount of marijuana in his pickup truck, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said last month.

Lovely was charged with trafficking in dangerous knives because he had a switchblade with him, Edwards said.
