DOVER-FOXCROFT – Charles Lorguercio Jr., husband of Harriet (Hobart) Loguercio, went to be with the Lord Aug. 22, 2010, in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born May 13, 1924, in Lynn, Mass., son of the late Charles Sr. and Eva (Ducasse) Loguercio. A World War II veteran, he was among those who landed on Omaha Beach on the third day of the invasion. Charlie was a member of Living Word Assembly of God Church and worked at Mayo Regional Hospital for many years before he retired at age 73. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Harriet of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Laurel Lacey of Pascoag, R.I.; four children, Christine Grabowski and her husband, Gerald, Judith Livingstone and her husband, Ernest, Michael Loguercio and his wife, Deborah, and Joan Mcafee and her husband, Fredrick, all of Dover-Foxcroft; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Francis and Stephen; and a sister, Marie Melanson. A celebration of his life will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Community Center, Thayer Parkway, Dover-Foxcroft.
