Is baseball still worth watching?

Thousands turned out to watch the Senior League World Series in Bangor. Though professional baseball no longer can credibly be called our national pastime – the sport is eclipsed by college and NFL football – do those who watch the game in-person fall in

love with it?

Will those who watched in Bangor be more inclined to follow the Red Sox or other local teams? Or is baseball too slow, and more of an agrarian, 19th century game?
