LEWISTON, Maine — The Lewiston YWCA is closing its doors.

Employees were told Thursday that the business, which faces high heating costs, an aging physical plant and a drop in financial support, will close in the next few days, putting 32 people out of work.

WMTW-TV reports that a letter to be distributed to its 1,000 members says the pool will close Friday and the rest of the facility Sept. 3.
