MADAWASKA – Carol Gendreau Collin, 42, passed away Aug. 18, 2010, at a Portland health care facility. She was born Oct. 17, 1967, in Fort Kent, daughter of Reno and Joan (Landry) Gendreau. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Mike Collin of Madawaska; her beloved daughter, Megan Collin of Madawaska; two stepsons, Justin Collin of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Ryan Collin of St. Jacques, New Brunswick; her mother, Joan Gendreau of Madawaska; two sisters, Janice Legace and her husband, Jeff, of Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Donna Gurkin and her husband, Michael, of Carry, N.C.; her brother, Paul Gendreau and his wife, Christine, of Madawaska; her father-in-law, Adrien Collin of Edmundston, New Brunswick; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, friends and past students. Carol was predeceased by her father, Reno Gendreau, in July 1993. A word and communion will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and family may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Lajoie Funeral Home.
