DOVER-FOXCROFT – Madeline A. Floyd, 90, died Aug. 16, 2010, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft, a daughter of Arnaldo Hathorn and Ethel (Lunt) Adams. Madeline graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1938 and was employed for 34 years by Koritsky’s Department Store. She also worked several years in the mending department at Guilford of Maine. Family was everything to Madeline and she was very involved in the upbringing of three generations. She loved antiques and there was nothing she enjoyed more than packing a lunch and heading out for the day “antiquing” with her buddy, Blanche. Madeline is survived by her daughter, Sally Tumosa and husband, Cliff, of Dover-Foxcroft; a granddaughter, Lauri Harmon and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Jaime and Dustin, all of Spartanburg, S.C.; and a best friend, Flo Stanley of Dover-Foxcroft and Treasure Island, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Eddie Floyd; and her son, Kenneth Floyd. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Dr. Dodie Sheffield officiating.
