Noyes scores 2 in Fort Fairfield win

   VAN BUREN — Travis Noyes scored two unassisted first-half goals to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 2-0 schoolboy soccer victory over the Van Buren Crusaders Monday.

Chris Weeks saved seven of 10 shots for 1-1 Fort Fairfield while 0-1 Van Buren’s Marc Lajoie made five saves on nine shots.

Wisdom 5, Easton 1

At Easton, five players scored goals as Wisdom of St. Agatha defeated Easton.

Ryan Blanchette, Curtis Picard, Shawn Bouley, Kody Chamberland and Chris Ouellette scored goals for the 2-0 Pioneers. Brandon Lavoie recorded an assist.

Holden Turner scored on a penalty kick in the first half to put 0-2 Easton on the board.

Wisdom’s Justin Albert saved nine of 13 shots while Cody Tompkins of Easton made 14 saves off 21 shots.

Girls soccer

Easton 7, Wisdom 0

At Easton, Carla Halvorson recorded a hat trick in helping lead Easton to a shutout win over Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Meghan Frank had a goal and two assists for the 2-0 Bears. Ariana Babineau had a goal and an assist as Danielle Dudley and Mariah Cyr also scored. Katie Cyr and Brooke Hammond both provided an assist. Marissa Parlin saved five of 11 shots.

Hayley Cyr turned away 22 of 58 shots for 0-2 Wisdom.

Van Buren 4, Fort Fairfield 1

At Van Buren, Parise Rossignol scored all four goals in leading Van Buren past Fort Fairfield.

Chantel Rioux and Kaitlin Parent both provided an assist for 1-0 Van Buren. Ashlie Wilson saved 10 of 11 shots.

Janae Libby scored off a Kylie Plourde assist late in the first half for 1-1 Fort Fairfield. Katy Donovan turned away 18 of 22 shots.
