Should Gouldsboro selectmen welcome Live Lobster with open arms?

Selectmen in the Hancock County town of Gouldsboro, which includes the village of Prospect Harbor, are wary of endorsing a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant, wondering if they would be bringing in federal money to favor a new business over a competing, local business.

Should selectmen accept the grant, knowing that many

jobs were lost when the Bumble Bee plant closed? Or are they wise to consider the ramifications, which may tip the balance unfairly?
