Brother, sister killed in car collision in Topsham

TOPSHAM, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating an early morning crash that killed a brother and sister when their car slid into the path of an oncoming pickup truck on a country road.

Police said 50-year-old Randy Bishop of Bowdoinham and his sister, 39-year-old Donna Pottle of Bowdoin, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Meadow Road in Topsham.

Police say Bishop and Pottle were driving north at about 4 a.m. Thursday when their car collided with a pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Andrew Thiebeault of Topsham. Thiebeault was treated for minor injuries at Parkview Hospital and Brunswick and released.
