HERMON, Maine — The newest store to set up shop in the newly expanded Hermon Shopping Center is Family Dollar, which opened its doors Thursday morning.
The store’s manager, Dawn DeBarrows, said Thursday afternoon that business thus far was “excellent.”
“People are saying that they’re happy we’re here and that we’re finally open,” said DeBarrows, former manager of the chain’s Corinth location.
Family Dollar, which is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sundays, joins a commercial lineup that also includes Danforth’s Down Home Supermarket, Seaboard Federal Credit Union, Dunkin’ Donuts, Fresh Dough Pizza Co. and Hermon True Value Hardware.
A Subway sandwich shop also is slated to open there in the near future.
