BROOKLIN, Maine — A 54-year-old Brooklin man who went missing Thursday evening called his family Saturday morning and was reunited with them, according to Deb Turcotte, spokesperson of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Turcotte said the man left home about 9 p.m. Thursday and did not return.

A search was launched that included local and state agencies, search dogs and airplanes.

William Longley, 54, called his family Saturday morning and they went to his location and picked him up, Turcotte said.

The man was not lost, she explained, but his family members were concerned about his state of mind.
