In an interview on ABC’s “The View,” President Barack Obama talks about the hardships of the presidency — such as the BP oil spill and the H1N1 flu scare — and the roses among the thorns — such as his recent visit to Maine.

“In the last month the rose has to be a couple of days we took in Maine with Michelle, Sasha and Malia,” he said. The Obamas spent a weekend in Maine exploring Acadia National Park and sampling the dining on Mount Desert Island.
