HOULTON – Edward H. McQuarrie Sr., 74, died July 22, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born April 20, 1936, in East Hodgdon, son of Robert and Blanche (Benson) McQuarrie. Ed served in the military during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion, Odd Fellows and Amity Cary Grange. Ed is survived by his lifelong companion, Charlotte Reeves; his son, Ed McQuarrie Jr. of Cary; four daughters, Sherry Hall and her husband, Gordon, of Old Orchard, Darlene Wesenberg and her husband, Kim, of Oconomowoc, Wis., Tammy Gray and her husband, Spencer, of Sedgwick and Heidi Bennett of Arizona; several grandchildren; one great-grandson, Cody; one brother, Richard McQuarrie and his wife, Morrene, of Washington; two sisters, Maxine Farrar and her husband, Wayne, and Nina Kirner and her husband, Carl, all of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife and friend, Shirley; and his daughter, Carlene. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, where services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. Interment will be at East Hodgdon Cemetery.
