LINCOLN, N.H. — A New Hampshire excursion railroad will hold a fundraiser to support restoration of the Flying Yankee, one of the first diesel-powered trains.

The streamliner was built in 1935 for the Boston and Maine Railroad and carried passengers throughout New England.

Tours of the train will be given starting at 4 p.m. Aug. 6 in Lincoln. Meals will be served in historic table cars of the Hobo Railroad.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for children.
