Flanagan joins Cutler campaign in Maine

The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Maine — Former Central Maine Power president David Flanagan is joining independent Eliot Cutler’s campaign for governor.

Flanagan, of Manchester, will serve as treasurer of Cutler 2010. Flanagan, a former chair of the board of trustees of the University of Maine System, was an unsuccessful independent candidate for governor in 2002 and now heads an affordable housing management company.

Flanagan succeeds Robert C.S. Monks, who recently stepped down as treasurer.
