Motor C. rallies for victory

ORONO — Motor City used a four-run rally in the bottom of the sixth to pull away from the Steamboat Paddlers of Searsport for a 6-4 American Legion baseball victory Thursday at Mahaney Diamond.
Motor City broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth. Dan LeBreton doubled and scored on a pinch-hit triple by Jared Theriault. After Theriault scored on a sacrifice fly by Jonathan Johnson, Ryan Carr tripled and scored on a single by Casey Estes, who came around to score on a single by Chris Hammond.
Estes finished with three singles, while Carr tripled and singled, LeBreton doubled and singled and Cody Cross singled twice.
Derrick Bernosky, Dylan Keller and Cody Ward each singled twice for Steamboat, while Matt Steinort added an RBI single.

Calais, Acadians split
At Calais, Adam Geel singled home pinch runner Andy Brown with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning of the second game, lifting Calais to a 5-4 victory and a split of their Zone 1 doubleheader against Acadians of Blue Hill.
The Acadians won the first game 6-5.
In the nightcap, the Acadians tied it with two runs in the seventh, before the hosts countered with the game-winner. Brown had run for Mike Lenfestey, who hit a leadoff single.
Geel also hit an RBI single in the second inning for Calais, while Ryan Schoppee hit a run-scoring single in the same inning behind Toby Woods, who pitched a three-hitter.
In Game 1, Tom Crowe’s RBI single capped a four-run sixth inning that gave the Acadians the margin of victory.
Jordan Carter rapped a two-run double and Seth Cote had an RBI single in the uprising. Young singled twice behind relief winner John Carlin.
Tim Barnes doubled and singled with an RBI to pace Calais.

Brewer 16, Penquis 7
At Brewer, Chase Daniels hit three doubles and drove in five runs to lead Brewer by Penquis.
Tyler French chipped in with three doubles and three RBIs for the winners and Pat McEwen had an RBI double.
Nick Harvey and Jake Speed each had two-run doubles for Penquis.

Bangor 12-8, Lincoln 8-4
At Bangor, Cody McInnis and Dylan Morris combined for six hits and seven RBIs as the Comrades rallied from a 6-0 first-inning deficit to defeat Lincoln Lumber 12-8 in the first game of a doubleheader.
McInnis added two more hit in the second game as Bangor earned an 8-4 victory.
In the first game, Morris had a double and two singles with four RBIs and McInnis added a double and two singles with three RBIs.
Devin Lyshon had three singles for Bangor, while Jordan Clarke and Anthony Capuano had two singles each.
Lance Bernier and Andy Kay had a double and two singles each for Lincoln while Ivan Voisine added a two-run homer.
In the second game, McInnis singled and doubled with an RBI, while Clarke and Joe Stanevicz each doubled and Seth Freudenberger hit a two-run single.
Brandon Bouchard led Lincoln with two singles and three RBIs, while Dylan Bouchard and Bernier added two singles each.
