Acadians cruise past Motor City

    BLUE HILL — The Acadians used six straight singles to start the first inning and cruised to a 13-4 American Legion baseball victory over Motor City Tuesday.
Chase Bickford hit a two-run single in the first and later doubled for Acadians. Mike Crowley hit a third-inning two-run homer and a double. Tom Crowe doubled and singled to drive in two runs.
Jared Theriault and Dan LeBreton each hit an RBI single for Motor City.

Calais 10, Lincoln 1
At Calais, Josh Gillespie hit a two-run double and a two-run single to help lift Calais over Lincoln.
Toby Woods with 4-for-4 with four singles and three runs for the Suns. Adam Geel doubled and scored three times while Mike Lenfestey hit a two-run single and Dylan Ramsdell added an RBI single.
Andy Kay hit a solo home run in the first and singled twice to lead the Lumber.

Hampden 8, Steamboat 0
At Hampden, Alex Cust doubled, singled and drove in two runs to lead Hampden by Steamboat of Waldo County.
Cody Miller chipped in with a two-run single for Hampden and Matt Palmer doubled and drove in a run.
Rocky Faunce doubled and singled for Steamboat and Derrick Brunosky singled twice.
