BANGOR — Joe Stanevicz’s two-run single in the fifth tied the game for Bangor and his two-run single in the seventh gave the Comrades a 4-3 victory in the second game and a twinbill sweep in American Legion baseball action Saturday at Mansfield Stadium.
Bangor won the first game 5-2.
In the second game, Jordan Clarke chipped in with a double and two singles for Bangor.
Jake Speed recorded three singles and drove in a run for Penquis. C.J. Giles and Jamie Nason each added a double.
In the first game, Josiah Hartley had an RBI double and two-run single to lead Bangor.
Brian Rouleau added an solo homer for the winners.
Eddie Cobb and Speed each hit RBI singles for Penquis.

Hampden, Calais split
At Calais, Mike Lenfesty hit a solo homer and Tim Barnes added a two-run shot to rally Calais by Hampden 10-9 for a doubleheader split.
Hampden won the first game 7-3.
In the second game, Lenfesty led off with a solo homer and Andy Brown followed with an infield single. Following an out, Barnes hit his game-winning home run.
Tom Pottle singled three times for Calais, Dylan Ramsdell added two singles, Adam Geel had an RBI single and Jesse Clark doubled. Lenfesty also added two singles and Barnes had a single.
Josh Tardiff hit a three-run home run for Hampden in the sixth inning and also singled earlier in the game. Ryan Blake and Alex Cust contributed with three singles each and Nolan Turner doubled and singled.
In the first game, Cody Miller cranked a grand slam for Hampden to back winning pitcher Jared Seamans, who scattered six hits and three runs. Turner added two singles, Derek Amaroso doubled and Miller singled.
Ramsdell singled twice for Calais and Pottle added an RBI single.

Brewer sweeps Steamboat
At Bucksport, Brewer’s Jordan Richards went 4-for-4 with three doubles, a single and two RBIs en route to a 9-3 victory over Steamboat in the first game of a doubleheader.
Brewer won the second game 12-5 for the sweep.
In the first game, Tyler French chipped in with a three-run home run for Brewer and Brandon Gendreau doubled and singled to back winning pitcher Kyle McLain who struck out six and walked three.
Dylan Kellar had an RBI double for Steamboat of Waldo County.
In the second game, Eric White hit a three-run home run to spark Brewer. Chase Daniels added a double, single and RBI and Billy Deredin singled twice and drove in two runs.
Evan Kingsbury doubled twice and drove in a run for Steamboat.
