Cross’ homer lifts Motor City to win

         ORONO – Cody Cross slammed a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Motor City ahead for good en route to a 5-3 American Legion baseball victory over Calais at Mahaney Diamond Monday.

  Chris Hammond added two singles while Jonathan Johnson and Casey Estes each singled and scored for the winners.

  Bryce Colbeth, Andy Brown and Dylan Ramsdell each had a run-scoring single for Calais.

     Steamboat 7, Penquis 6

  At Dover-Foxcroft, Derrick Bernosky singled twice to drive in two runs to lead Steamboat past Penquis.

  Evan Kingsbury added two more singles for Steamboat.

  Kevin Stafford, Jake Speed and Nick Harvey all singled in runs while C.J. Giles doubled and hit two singles for Penquis.
