MARS HILL – Maida A. Grass, 90, died June 29, 2010, with all her immediate family members at her side, at a Mars Hill health care facility. Maida was born March 1, 1920, in St. Stephens, New Brunswick, the daughter of Henry W. and Muriel (Maybee) Lello. Maida worked as a licensed practical nurse at Gould Memorial Hospital from the early 1960s into the 1980s. She then worked part-time at Mars Hill Health Center for a few years. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford E. Grass; and her sister, Marjorie Thomas. Maida is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Ruotolo of Bradenton, Fla.; two sons and their wives, Brian L. and Dixie L. Grass of San Antonio, Texas, and Evan and Linda Grass of Mars Hill; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Lello of Presque Isle. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Pierce Cemetery, Mars Hill. Donations in her memory may be made out specifically to the Activity Fund at Mars Hill Health Care Center, P.O.
