Is it time to consider year-round school?

Studies have shown that students lose some of their academic knowledge and skills

during the summer break. Studies have also suggested that shorter units – perhaps six

weeks, followed by a week break – yield better educational results. Would year-round

school be a step in the right direction? Or would it cause too many problems with family
